Register to Vote, Vote by Mail

(via the Illinois Federation of Teachers)

We are confident that our election judges and polling places will, once again, be taking every precaution available when they open this Spring for Early Voting and Election Day. However, if you want to stay away from these public spaces to avoid coronavirus exposure – or just cross voting off your to-do list early – you can easily check your registration status online and sign up to Vote by Mail!

While you won’t get that highly sought-after “I voted” sticker, be assured that your vote will be counted. And you will be completing the same ballot questions as the people who vote on Election Day.

Visit IFT Votes to find out useful information about voting, see a list of IFT candidate endorsements on May 16, and ways you can get involved. For information on voting by mail, visit the State Board of Elections.
