We know how busy life gets and that your to-do list can become overwhelming! That's why we're sending you this friendly reminder: VOTE! From collective bargaining rights to gun violence to education funding and more, the lawmakers we elect on November 8 will make decisions that impact our families, communities, and professions. It is critical that you make your voice heard. It's easy to cast your ballot! From now through November 7, you can vote early in-person. (Early voting is typically conducted at your County Clerk’s office, but check here to see where and when you can vote early in your area.) Or if you’d prefer to vote contact-free, apply to vote by mail. (Applications must be received by November 3.)
The Workers' Rights Amendment (WRA) will be the first question on your ballot. We urge you to vote YES for this historic measure that will enshrine the right to collective bargaining in the Illinois Constitution. There are important federal, state, house, senate, and judicial races on the ballot as well. Visit the IFT website to find the complete list of candidates who have earned the IFT’s support in this General Election. (You can even print out this list to take to your polling place.) There are just two weeks remaining before Election Day, November 8. Please make your plan today to VOTE like your rights depend on it – because they do!
