Thank you to everyone who joined our emergency Know Your Rights webinar. For those who couldn’t make it, we want to make sure you have access to the key information and ways to stay involved.
Here’s the slide presentation.
What’s happening:
Across Illinois, federal agents have intensified their actions in and around schools and neighborhoods. In recent weeks:
Two community members in Aurora were taken off school grounds.
Federal agents have been seen near schools in Chicago, Cicero, and Staunton.
In Franklin Park, ICE killed a resident shortly after he dropped off his children at school
This is happening in our communities, and our union is responding in real-time to protect and support members and their neighbors.
Take Action:
Here’s how you can take action to protect our communities.
We all have a role in keeping our schools and communities safe, informed, and united. If you have any questions, please contact your Field Service Director or Local President.
In solidarity,
Arnoldo Fabela
Director of Field and Organizing
