Full Funding Fridays—Tax the Rich!

Please watch this video message from Secretary of State Area Vice-President Ryan Franklin and read her letter below. Then, take action to ensure full funding for the services that Illinois state government provides on a daily basis!

Hello, IFPE Local 4408,

The IFT has a new initiative: Full Funding Fridays. We need our state to be fully funded, for us and for the people of Illinois. 

Full funding affects everyone:

• Want to FIX Tier 2?

• Want programs of the state to continue in their full capacity?

• Want roads and interstates fixed?

• How about doing the work of two people, because new staff have not been hired?

• Do you want to fix the payroll of positions so that people get paid on the market average of corporate america?

• Do you want a raise in 2027? Cost of Living? More?

We can only do this if the state is FULLY FUNDED!.

How do we accomplish this? TAX the MILLIONAIRES and BILLIONAIRES!

GET INVOLVED!

How? Stand in Solidarity with your union.

• Wear BLUE this Friday!

• Wear BLUE EVERY Friday.

• Take a selfie and let us know how the lack of adequate state revenue and funding affects your job.

• Make a video on how the lack of funding negatively impacts you personally.

• Contact your legislator. Find your elected officials here.

• Talk to your union Stewards and say I want to help.

The funding levels of the state affect everyone. Let's get this fixed.
