Final Call: Join the IFT in Springfield on May 27

In just a few days, IFT members from across Illinois will head to Springfield for our final Lobby Day of the spring legislative session, and this is a moment where your voice truly matters.

Lawmakers are making decisions right now that will determine whether our schools and communities are fully funded—or continue to fall short while corporations receive special deals. We need you there.

RIGHT NOW, ILLINOIS IS FACING A CLEAR CHOICE:

• Invest in students, educators, and public services OR

• Continue giving tax breaks to megaproject developers and the ultra-wealthy with no relief for working families and underfunded communities.

That second option directly impacts our students and working families:

• Larger class sizes

• Not enough staff to meet their needs

• Cut programs

On Lobby Day, you’ll help make sure lawmakers hear directly from the people who see these impacts every day.

We’ve been building momentum towards this moment, and legislators only have a few more days to craft Illinois’ budget for the next fiscal year.
